At Nightingale:
- We provide a nurse within 24 hours or as needed of returning to your home.
- A nurse will assess medications, assist with possible pain and depression commonly associated with a stroke, and work with you on continence issues to procure the resources you need.
- We have a full staff of physical, occupational, and speech therapists to continue your rehabilitation at home who not only work on strength, neuromuscular retraining, vision compensation training, and tone management, but also cover your personal needs such as cooking and eating, dressing, bathing, and walking.
- Our therapists also assist with equipment needs such as assessing for large handled eating utensils, recommending devices to assist with dressing, and obtaining the correct equipment for bathing and walking independently.
- At Nightingale, we have social workers available to you to assist in finding community resources to help you to regain independence back into your community.
After a stroke, home treatment is an important part of your road to recovery and reagining independence in your home. Our licensed nurses, physical therapists, and occupational therapists provide a comprehensive interdisciplinary approach that ensures the most successful outcome for our patients’ needs.
