Nightingale Home Healthcare Provides Complimentary Services and Information to Community
April 27, 2009 (Carmel, IN) --
Nightingale Home Healthcare hosted a successful open house April 22nd at their corporate headquarters, 1036 South Rangeline Road, Carmel, IN 46032, that provided the local community free health tests/screenings, breaking news and information and the latest technology in the healthcare industry. Included were blood pressure checks, body mass index screenings, bone density tests and multiple hands-on demonstrations of various technologies.
Despite the blustering cold, windy and rainy weather from 11:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., participants enjoyed the atmosphere, ambiance, vendor booths, lunch and staying active by participating in Nintendo Wii games. Lunch was catered by Port-a-Pit Barbeque and The Snooty Fox and included an array of chicken, salads and desserts.
Community members were welcomed by Nightingale staff and local health organizations. Participating vendors included: Abbott Nutrition, Beltone, Better Health Inc., Diabatrol, ES Health Solutions, Hoosier Senior Solutions, Massage Envy, Prevent Blindness Indiana, Walgreens, WIBC Indy's News Center, 93.1 and Wright & Associates, P.C. Each vendor had a display, information and giveaways for the attendees.
Joining the vendors were Nightingale employees and specialists to answer questions and display our electronic medication reminder, emergency response system and home monitoring system. Presenting area-specific information was: Physical Therapist, Kelley Huizar, Pharmacist, Tamara Dulin and Dietician, Patricia Roche. Alongside those professionals, were the Nightingale Hospice team representatives, human resources department sharing education on joining the Nightingale team and producers of Radius Magazine, Nightingale's national health magazine providing complimentary issues of the publication.
