Payroll Clerk - Carmel, IN
This position assists with the centralized payroll processing for all companies and locations under the Nightingale Home Health Care umbrella. All payroll is processed at Nightingale's home office.
Duties Include:
- Processing bi-weekly payroll for multi-state locations
- Updating the payroll database with new employees, address changes, tax, general deduction data and direct deposit information
- Collecting, reviewing and coding timesheet information for multi-state locations
- Entering labor hours into database
- Printing and preparing checks for review, signature, distribution and mailing
- Processing employment verification requests
- Processing payroll garnishments and other payroll withholds
- Maintaining appropriate supporting payroll documentation
- Preparing the bi-weekly income, Social Security, Medicare employee withholdings for deposit, quarterly Employer Federal Tax Return (Form 941) and multi-state unemployment taxes, and employee annual Form W-2
- Maintaining the confidentiality of all payroll records in accordance with federal and state laws
