As the Benefit Administrator, you will assist the HR Director and staff with developing and implementing company policies, and procedures, and facilitating the process of ADA, FMLA and various employee grievances.

Duties Include:

  • Assists with development of new hire orientation process for all positions.
  • Facilitates processing of workers compensation and claims / hearings.
  • Works on various employee relations projects.
  • Administers, organizes and conducts training for Directors and supervisors on benefit packages offered.
  • Responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of all benefit records in accordance with federal and state laws.
  • Works with outlying offices to ensure compliance with company benefit policies and procedures.
  • Administrator for all employee insurances, 401K and profit sharing benefits.
  • Explains benefits to employees, serves as liaison between employees and insurance carriers.
  • Services as a liaison between HR and Payroll to ensure employee benefit deductions are correct and started / ended.
  • Responsible for the employee wellness program.
  • Responsible for open enrollment activities including obtaining renewal quotas.
  • Responsible for compliance with COBRA benefits administration.
  • Responsible for obtaining waivers for all eligible employees who do not wish to participate in the health benefits offered.

Education:

  • Two (2) – Four (4) year degree in HR or related field preferred.

Experience includes:

  • One (1) year work experience in HR with concentration in employee benefits and benefit vendors is required.
  • Knowledgeable in benefits and HR laws, policies and procedures is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in HR or related field, 3-5 years of progressive Human Resource Generalist experience, or a combination of both. PHR/SPHR preferred.
