Human Resource Generalist - San Diego, CA

Duties Include:

  1. Performs benefit administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, payment, and communicating benefit information to employees. Coordinates benefit open enrollment and serves as liaison between employees and insurance carriers.
  2. Responsible for day-to-day administration of policies covering workers compensation claims and appropriate placement of employees regarding accommodations.
  3. Facilitates processing of unemployment claims/hearing and workers compensation claims/hearings.
  4. Administers and manages leave administration to ensure compliance is met by both employee and employer.
  5. Create and conduct quarterly supervisor/management training on various leave processes and work injury incident documentation requirements.
  6. Reconcile insurance invoices.
  7. Prepares and provides various required reports and requested data related to benefits and retirement plans.
  8. Assist with investigations and problem solving of employee relation issues.
  9. Assists with development of the new hire orientation process for all positions.
  10. Attend monthly mandatory in-services at the satellite locations
  11. Attend Saturday in-services to let staff in the building and ensure staff are signed in and stay for required in-service.
  12. Maintains current knowledge of and ensures that Human Resources Department complies with Company's policies and procedures and state and federal laws.
  13. Works with outlying offices to ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures.
  14. Ensures that all human resources files are in compliance with federal and state laws.
  15. Responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of all personnel records in accordance with federal and state laws.
  16. Oversees and administers performance evaluations to ensure that all employees are given performance evaluations at the appropriate time.

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelors degree in HR or related field, 3-5 years of progressive Human Resource Generalist experience, or a combination of both. PHR/SPHR preferred.
